My approach

AI is most valuable when the work has structure.

I am interested in the point where AI stops being a clever drafting tool and becomes part of a dependable production system. That requires explicit standards, controlled source material, repeatable workflows and a human who remains accountable for the result.

Each project below began with a real problem: making internal controls usable for smaller organizations, turning an eventual move abroad into a staged preparation program, or operating a recurring cross-border lifestyle without losing track of obligations and evidence.

PROJECT 01 · GOVERNANCE SYSTEM

Internal controls

A practical control framework small businesses can actually use.

A modular, implementation-ready internal-control framework designed for small and owner-managed businesses.

Smaller organizations need credible controls, but conventional frameworks can be too abstract, resource-intensive or difficult to translate into daily operations. The objective is not a one-size-fits-all checklist: it is a strong foundation that can be configured around each business’s risks, people and processes.

I am designing the framework as a connected system of risk assessment, control objectives, responsibility mapping, process documentation, evidence expectations, testing procedures and implementation priorities. AI supports consistency across the modules and accelerates adaptation; professional judgment determines what belongs, how it works and whether it is proportionate.

Retirement abroad

Six years from intention to a controlled move abroad.

A staged preparation playbook for Canadians who may retire outside the country—and need more than a destination shortlist.

The central problem is sequencing. Tax residency, pensions, healthcare, property, banking, estate documents and family decisions cannot all be solved in the departure month. Some choices need years of lead time; others should wait until the destination and timing are sufficiently certain.

I structured the project as a six-year program with annual priorities, decision gates, dependencies and evidence requirements. It includes both a successful-move pathway and an explicit return-to-Canada plan, because a retirement strategy should continue to work if health, family or financial circumstances change.

ResultA long-range roadmap that converts an attractive future idea into a sequence of controlled, reversible and increasingly concrete decisions.

Canadian snowbirds

Canadian Snowbird in the USA: compliance made operational.

A bilingual preparation and annual-operations system for Canadians who spend extended periods in the United States.

The project integrates U.S. day-count and admission issues with Canadian tax residency, provincial healthcare, insurance, property decisions, estate planning and emergency readiness. The difficulty was not collecting information—it was controlling relationships between rules, deadlines, documents and real-life decisions.

I used AI to extend research coverage, maintain cross-document consistency and support controlled English-to-Russian adaptation, while retaining rigorous human review. The work then moved beyond narrative guidance into annual checklists, decision branches, evidence registers and practical tools for both renters and property owners.

ResultA repeatable operating system that helps turn a complex cross-border lifestyle into an organized annual cycle of preparation, compliance and evidence.
